MotDaught was born out of a deep-rooted bond between Brigette and her daughters, Isabella and Jeulia. Their mutual love for fashion led them to raid each other's closets and create exciting outfits together. Isabella

Heeeeyyyy, I’m Izzy.  

I hate introductions so this is kind of weird for me. I love talking about myself (in the must humble way possible) so its weird that I don’t like intros.

I can’t remember the exact time people starting calling me Izzy. But it stuck and its become more of a name than a nickname.

I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember.   My ma tells me I pretty much came out of the womb dancing.  She says I started dancing as soon as I was able to walk and I guess I just haven’t stopped.

I’m studying dance at university now and I’m not going to lie it’s a struggle taking ballet at 8 am 5 days a week but if you love something you stick to it no matter the circumstances (even it means passing out on the subway and missing your stop on the daily).

Oh!  And I love people!  I love hearing people laugh and seeing them smile. Hopefully this blog will give me an opportunity to connect with many of you!

I can’t wait to share my life through creativity with you all. It can get crazy around here, so I hope you’ll stick around to hear all about it.

Jeulia

Hey, it’s me Jeulia otherwise known as JJ. Here’s what you need to know about me:

On Style:

My style is VERY different from my mom and my sister.  Unlike them, I usually wear more comfortable clothes. Stuff like sweatpants, sweatshirts, soft and cozy t- shirts, socks and slides - anything that’s comfortable really. I love doing full beat faces of makeup but I don’t like “dressing up” especially in uncomfortable tight dresses, skirts and panty hose - I’ll wear it but only if I have to, you know like for a wedding or something like that.

On Sports:

I like soccer.  I play five times a week, and it’s one of the few things I look forward to every day.  I like running and being active which is a good thing because of the amount of junk food I eat LOL.  For such an active person I don’t eat as healthy as my mom says I should. When she’s not looking you can probs find me in line at basically any fast food restaurant!

On Animals:

I love animals, especially dogs. I want to be a vet in the future and help animals.  I want a dog.

Brigette

Other than being many things to many people, I am, on this blog, lover of all things stylish and beautiful.   By day (and most often by night too) I work in Infection Prevention and Control at a hospital just north of Toronto, Canada.  No two days are alike when you work in Infection Prevention and Control and it’s always exciting - I am blessed to do what I do every day.

While I am truly passionate about my full-time career, I am equally passionate about my love of fashion.  I have never met a pair of 3-inch heels or any pair of heels for that matter (or purse or jewellery…..) that I didn’t like!  I love to express my love of fashion by incorporating trends into both my work and everyday wardrobe. My love of fashion runs through my veins and was bound to be shared by my two teen-aged daughters.

My daughters Isabella and Jeulia, are as one might expect teen-aged girls to be sweet and also very frustrating. Their moods totally dependent on the days of the week or even the hours of the day.

We are so excited to share our individual views on style, beauty and random thoughts while we navigate our mother – daughter relationship together.
